The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science is seeking to appoint an Editorial assistant / assistant of the director
The post is tenable from August 1, 2013. The newly appointed colleague will join the team of Department III “Artefacts and Action in Systems of Knowledge”, Director: Prof. Dr. Dagmar Schäfer. Candidates with experience in academic management and in editorial tasks, fluent in English and Chinese are invited to apply.
Your profile
We are looking for an energetic colleague to organize academic events and support our guests, fellows and international attendants; proficient in editorial tasks and the management of international directorial office; excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; further language abilities are most welcome. We are seeking a colleague with a genuine interest in academic work and basic historical knowledge; comprehensive digital literacy (DTP and office), internet skills and the ability to work in a team and to contribute to collegiality; experience of working abroad are welcome.
