The ‘Voices of Science’ website draws on the ‘Oral History of British Science’ initiative led by National Life Stories at the British Library.
Since 2009 the project has collected life story interviews, both audio and video, with those people in Britain who have spent their lives in science and technology. Remarkably few British scientists had previously been interviewed at length about their life and work.
‘Voices of Science’ presents audio and video extracts from the first 100 recordings made between 2009 and 2013 covering the themes ‘Made in Britain’ and ‘A Changing Planet’. It also provides links to the full unedited interviews and transcripts available to all worldwide at http://sounds.bl.uk/oral-
‘Voices of Science’ is the website of the Oral History of British Science programme, led by National Life Stories in association with the Science Museum, and with support from the Arcadia Fund.
